TWEEDLEDEE AND TWEEDLEDUM

This puzzle consisted of a random collection of objects laid out in a grid, soaking wet from the rain.

There's very little to go on here. We've got our objects, a picture of Tweedledee and Tweedledum, and their quotes. The key here is that our boys are twins. And so are all our objects - they can all be matched up together. Each pair differs by one letter:

a elf / leaf
c clock / lock
l tape / plate
m rose / morse
i elastic / castle
e lego / log


And those letters can be unshuffled to spell "malice", as in "malice in wonderland".

(This puzzle is very similar to a puzzle called Gemini in BANG 12. Finding object pairs for this puzzle turns out to be very challenging!)
