Landau, who made an array of discoveries in quantum mechanics and
superfluidity (for which he won the <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/nobel-prize/">Nobel Prize</a>
in 1962), while indulging in all kinds of free love while married to
his dutiful wife Kora. Admitted to psychiatric hospitals six times, he
perished six years after a devastating car accident left him greatly
impaired.</p>
Khrzhanovsky was apparently drawn to his subject because of the
dueling themes of genius and sexual experimentation in Landau’s life,
and it was enough to intrigue a host of artists and locals to partake in
filming.</div></div>
