wallace-l: Coverage of DFW

Echoing the sentiments of many on here - what I'm appreciating about this list as the days go by and I continue to, at least periodically, mope around the house and work. You all are the only ones not yet tired of talking and reminiscing about DFW -- I think my wife has pretty much heard enough about it, and nobody at work really cared too much to begin with -- so it is very nice to have this de facto support group, who not only empathizes, but gets it.

Hers is not to be missed.

This bit from Sue Dickman made me laugh out loud just now:

>I used to confuse "further" and "farther," and, apparently, I did it quite often. In one of my stories, I'd confused them yet again, and in the margins, he'd written, simply, "I hate you." I've never confused them since.

Oh man, [laughing again as I type] thank god for all you people...

I had a much beloved undergrad English teacher who used to write
"yuck" in the margin when he didn't like something. Always slayed
me...
