wallace-l: Coverage of DFW

At one point, several years ago, there was talk of a wallace-l
convention or meetup, but we could never agree on a location; I think
one wag even proposed a cruise ship.  The discussion eventually
morphed into how this list kind of felt like a big mythical hotel in
which all the tenants were DFW fans; I think that fell apart when we
started talking through what would likely happen in the hot tub of
such a hotel.  (I was single at the time, and so was DFW.)

PS Because I'm not likely to read this email account over the weekend,
I'll add a note of thanks to you all as well; between having a
sympathetic forum for venting and listening, and hearing from so many
listers I'd thought had vanished into the ether, this list has been
immensely wonderful to be a part of, this week.  I love you all.
