About a year and a half ago, I started getting into photography. I don't really go into things half-way so I quickly assembled a couple of pretty good start-up rigs. I have a Sigma SA-5 with Sigma 28-105mm and 100-300mm lenses. I also have a Nikon N70 with Sigma 17-35mm, 28-300mm, and 50-500mm lenses. I'd really like to get a Nikon F100 body, but I don't have $1,000 lying around, so that'll have to wait. I do have a Nikon CoolPix 800 digital, but I'm not too fond of digital photos. The flash always casts insane shadows and the light looks really unnatural, so I stick with old-fashioned film for the most part. To digitize I have a Minolta Dimage II film scanner. That thing rocks my world. Not too long ago, I also picked up a HP 5470c flatbed scanner. For printing I usually use my Cannon S800. That thing really rocks my world. It's the one with six individual ink reservoirs. You run out of one color, and you only have to replace that one color. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to print photos at home.

I haven't really found my "voice" yet. I've been happy just putzing around, and I've taken some really great shots. Check out my galleries to see some of what I've been happiest with.
