11 July
-Long break because I was working on a science-fiction convention.  During this time, I sincerely attempted to watch two movies (which shall remain nameless for now, as they will appear shortly in this log), but wound up with other responsibilities.
Planet of the Apes (1968) (dvd/ws)
-Often considered a b-rate sci-fi film (mostly because of some of the ghastly sequels), this is actually a fine film with a screenplay co-written by Rod Serling of Twilight Zone fame.

13 July
Krull (dvd/ws)
-Don't ask.

15 July
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (theater/ws)
-Is it wrong to drool over computer animation?

16 July
Rocketeer, The (dvd/ws)
-So I don't get it, when did Jenny become a heroin freak?

21 July
Krieger und die Kaiserin, Der (theater/ws)
-Germany has cool forms of mass transit.

22 July
A.I. Artificial Intelligence (theater/ws)
-Had Stanley Kubrick directed this film, the last 30 minutes would have been without dialog.

23 July
-For my birthday, I was a dj at a bondage show and received my spankings from professionals.

27 July
Planet of the Apes (2001) (theater/ws)
-What can be said about this that hasn't already been said on dozens of neo-hip websites?  This movie lacks the message and intent of the original, no matter how visually stunning it is.

29 July
Of Human Bondage (1934) (dvd)
-Considering my recent birthday punishment, the title of this film held a lot more promise than it delivered.  I was rather disappointed to find that not only does it not contain leather whips and straps, but Bette Davis doesn't even have any nude scenes.
Braveheart (1995) (dvd/ws)
-Proof that in order for Mel Gibson to be able to act, the movie either has to take place in the future or in the far past.

31 July
Billy Elliot (dvd/ws)
-I've still never seen Footloose.
