Benny Profane's birthday

_Gravity's Rainbow_  is just about everyone's
favorite Pynchon work, so if fans are looking 
for something Pynchonish to celebrate, they 
tend to celebrate an event out of _GR_.  
However, Benny Profane is 60 this year, 
having become "an awareness on the floor 
of one old Hootervile shack in '32", and he 
strikes me as as good an antihero as any to 
aspire in the general direction of.  I would like 
to celbrate his birthday, but can't find specific 
reference to the date in _V_.  If the date is in 
there, does anyone know what it is, or failing 
that can anyone out there make any suggestions 
as to what would be good date?

Also, let's here some speculation on what Benny 
is doing as a 60-year-old.  To suggest that he died 
in an insustrial accident when filling in for 
SHROUD, having gone back to work for
Yoyodyne, would be too easy.
