Watch for new Pynchon--an essay

A posthumous collection of Donald Barthelme's work, _The Teachings of 
Don B_, which was scheduled for September release but is now promised in 
December, is rumored to have an introduction by Pynchon.  That's all I 
know at the moment, except that the book is supposed to have been reviewed
in the _L.A. Times_ last Thursday, November 19.  Oh, yeah, $25.
