The MLA Pynchon panel (continued)

Dear Profs. Gilbert and Delany:
 
NO, I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN about promising to post a post-MLA play-
by-play on the MLA "Pynchon Effect" panel.  After racking my
brains for a while trying to say something of substance about the
other three papers, I decided I'd better take the long road/high
road on this: I'm contacting Profs. Barone, Nickerson, and Allen
and requesting copies of their papers before trying to write
anything about them for Pynchon-L.  I'm afraid I had an advanced
case of Panelist's Pseudo-Alzheimer's Disease that morning:
concentrating on how I'd deliver my own paper precluded my
registering much of anything about the others (even the one that
came after mine).  
 
This will mean an even later posting, but one that contains more
useful description of what went on.  I hope it'll be of more
interest to the P-Listers than what I'd come up with so far.
