>1.) What's the latest on Pynchon sightings?
He's got a USENET account, posting as "Ludwig von Plutonium". Please
don't tell anyone.
More seriously, he reviewed Gabriel Garcia Marquez LOVE IN THE TIME OF
CHOLERA (NYTBR), and this summer, NYTBR began a series of seven essays
on the seven deadly sins, premiering with Pynchon on sloth.

That _was_ VINELAND, no?

Pynchon wrote the introduction to Donald Barthelme THE TEACHINGS OF DON
B., and more importantly, to Richard Farina BEEN DOWN SO LONG IT LOOKS
UP TO ME. (GR, you recall, was dedicated to RF.)
