The influence of Fritz Lang is a lot more prevalent in Gravity's Rainbow.
Most of the references are to the film Doctor Mabuse Der Speiler but I
believe there's a reference to Destiny in GR as well. There is also some stuff
about the film Die Frau im Mond which I believe Pokler saw.

Weissman compares himself to Doctor Mabuse and gives names of other characters
in the film to some people. There's also something in GR on the actor who
played Doctor Mabuse. Klein-Rogg or something like that.
