Smells Like...

I'm interested in pursuing the Cobain/GR connection for a short class 
paper.  I can see how "Smells Like Teen Spirit" might have been somehow influenced by Cobain's 
reading of Pynchon, in particular the song on p. 538.  Has this influence 
actually been documented somewhere?  I remember reading a passing 
reference to Cobain being a Pynchon reader/fan somewhere (Spin, 
CMJ,Rolling Stone, Village Voice?), but can't put my finger on it.  
Anyone out there have a source verifying or elaborating upon Cobain's 
interest in Pynchon's writing? I'd appreciate it.  Thanks.

Also, anyone have any info on the Jazz Butcher (Conspiracy) song "Looking 
for Lot 49."  I'm a JBC fan, but am not familiar w/ this song.  If you're 
not familiar w/ the band, check them out.  They'd be the perfect band to 
do an album of Pynchon standards.
