  Well Bubba, if you thought the end of SC was "preverted", you'll
really like his next book THE DIAMOND AGE.
  I do admit that SC did kind of fizzle out towards the end, but a lot
of books do that. Movies, too. That's why music has the ability to resolve
EVERYTHING with 9th diminished barre chords, Picardy 6ths and often
cornball riffs like "good evening frieeends!"
