A film

i know it's off the rather heavy topix of late, but what the hey--

it may have been mentioned, but as another film which may have 
contributed to GR, i would have to suggest Hitchcock's "The Lady 
Vanishes" which, if you haven't seen it, is a fantastic movie.  it 
involves a possibly hallucinatory conpiracy-mystery, strange eastern 
european nationstates, and a trainful of somewhat bumbling 
englishfolk trapped in it all, including a fantastic Michael 
Redgrave, who, IMHO, ought to have played Roger Mexico...

mebbe we could computer-render him into place...
