Hi all,

A couple of weeks ago, I asked whether any of you thought that 
tinasky at aol.com might be Pynchon.  I've been thinking about that question
since, and it's developed into a somewhat larger question, to wit:

Is there anything in the texts that suggests what Pynchon's attitude 
is towards computers in general?

There are a few bits about them in _Vineland_ (including the lovely 
neologism "pixeldanced").  They are mostly rather neutral in tone,
unless we imagine that the Tube (TV) could also be the Tube (CRT).

In which case it's a different story.  Anyone have any thoughts on
this topic?
