TRP & computers

I get the impression that TRP is favorable toward computers,
without being a total groupie.  As I recall, in COL49, there's
an extended riff about the universe being digital, which is also
replicated in VINELAND, with reference to God being the 
ultimate hacker.  (Sorry I can't recall specific page 
citations....)  Finally, in the SLOW LEARNER intro, TRP mentions
that thanks to computer access all knowledge is (theoretically)
obtainable, and hence a writer should not be excused from 
verifying facts.  Sounds like the man has been online....
