Powers and Pynchon

I picked up Galetea at the wrong time I think-I read the first 50 pages 
and I thought this guy is too cute.  Same with Vollman as Powers-why the 
comparison?-cause they've written books over 500 pages?
Hasn't someone here called Powers "Pynchon without the paranoia"?  Maybe 
it's the drugs-pynchon yes, powers no.  (Now I'm getting too cute...)

P.S.  GR wasn't released on Joyce's birthday was it?
