Someone was recently asking what had happened to Jules Siegel. I've been
wondering the same thing. It's odd that, as the author of the only really
in-depth biographical piece about Pynchon by someone who knew him, he has
never been quoted elsewhere about the man, although John Calvin Batchelor
mentions having spoken to him. (Yes, I'm aware of the first person pieces
by Farina, Ganz and Gordon, but Siegel's is much more detailed). I thought
that maybe he had died, but as
of November, 1993 it appears that Siegel was living in Cancun working for
the Cancun International Film Festival. If anybody seriously wants to track
him down, that might be the place to start.

P.S. Given my own obsession with Pynchon, I'm the last person who should be
throwing stones, but this discussion about the meaning of "a-and" is getting
into frighteningly trivial depths. If I were TP, I'd stay hidden, too.
