Anybody with access to Lexis could have found what I found on Siegel. I take
no credit for private-eye work.

The Ganz piece is "Pynchon in Hiding," by Earl Ganz, written shortly after
Gravity's Rainbow came out, but not published until 1980 in Plum, issue #2.
It's not too revealing, but discusses Pynchon's work habits at the New York
Public Library and what TP liked to order at Chock Full O'Nuts, as well as
Ganz's loathing for Farina, and Ganz's attempt to write a screenplay of V.
Ganz apparently knew TP circa 1959-60, having taken a class with him at
Cornell. It's worth reading, though, if only for the fuzzy first-person view
of TP, of which there are so very few in print.
