Heikki asked, 'isn't GR, among other things, a Carroll
fairy-tale,' summing up, 'I have to think it over.'
My only advice, be a Bartleby and prefer not to. I
I chased that rabbit into Alice's hole a few weeks
ago when everyone was on Deleuze, and a colleague who
had read the posts referred me to The something Of
Sense, in which D disects the heck out of ole Alice,
poor girl. Then youse guys get to talking about a-and,
and here I am toghtroping a synchronicity-mobius, as
uncertain if that's my reflection I'm stepping on or
some fool as uncertain as me, because that Carroll was
a bit of a stutterer, you see, but you won't see any
of that on his pages. Got to thinking maybe Slothrop
A-anded whenever he couldn't get access to the little
girl inside him, if I may be so bold to say. Meanwhile
I'm reading Vineland again and I come across another
a-and when the bidders at DL's auction think it's a jip
cuz there ain't the little girls they supposed there'd
be. Even more coincidental, Slothrop says an a-and at
one point when he requests for a pocket watch - like
white hare. Like I said. Be a Bartleby.
