Eigenvalues/eigenvectors

David Milne speaks for me.  Isn't "Dudley Eigenvalue" *obviously* just a 
silly, engineering-nerd's pun, just like "Sammy Hilbert-Spaess" in GRAVITY'S 
RAINBOW?  Or is a cigar never just a cigar?
