Yes, 1937. May 8th. Glen Cove, N.Y.
Penny, what you're doing is appreciated. I'm currently setting up a home
page in WWW with links to The Louvre, Andy Warhol museum, The Krannert
Museum , and this wonderful resource called Cybernetica
Principia--interesting look at evolution via complexity & Darwin headed
up by a man in Belgium named Frances Feylighen. I tried to link to the
pYnchyon list on a prayer, but I think there's some basic problem--no
http sit, whatever. Soooooo, the point is htat now I can link to the
home page you're creating. And the FAQ and other lists can stop crowding
my e-mail files.
About the Pynchon info--Dr. Judith Chambers compiled a nice chronology
("nice?") in her book. I could post it here, if you like. Let me know.
You probably have the book. But there's the offer. Thanks for what
you're doing. It will be very useful, I'm sure. This kind of
double-checking of facts is good. You should (we, whoever) keep posting
to Pynchon-list, checking the info agaoinst the
info offerred there. Let me know if I can help.

It would be nice to have a Web page on Pynchon, but wasn't he born in
1937, not 1939?
