My own two cents worth on Jung (one of my most esteemed writers
in the "Wow-this-blew-me-away-while-I-was-reading-it-but-now-
how-can-I-possibly-recount-it?" mode) and Pynchon would
focus on the conspiracy angle:  consider how Jung got in on the
groundfloor of the UFO craze and how the current paranoid state
of UFO-ology syncs with Pynchon's take on paranoia.
