David requests:
"I need your help. I am one very skinny delta-t away from jettisoning all my
curiosity about what Bonnie Surfus looks like and whether Jan Klimkowski is
male or female and, gulp, marrying my girlfriend. I am therefore accepting
nominations for any and all passages in the Pynchon corpus that might make a
suitable addition to the text of the ceremony. . . . "

How's this (GR, p. 177, Viking ed.)--
"You go from dream to dram inside me. You have passage to my last shabby
corner, and there, among the debris, you've found life. I'm no longer sure
which of all the words, images, dreams or hosts are 'yours' and which are'
'mine.' It's past sorting out. We're both being someone new now,
someone incredible . . . "

A tad sappy out of context, but, hey, it's a wedding! Just watch out for
pipe-smoking bureaucrats with beards.

And best of wishes,

Don Larsson, Mankato State U (MN)

P.S.--Correction: that should be "ghosts" not "hosts" above.
