About triviality

It would be necessary to develop more this idea of parallel system and to
confront it with the idea of post - modernity.
One of the all first phenomena to to have made the object of  reflections of the
gurus of the post - modernity has been the communication. The medium of the
information is a dismityfiing power in the sense that it is only a means of
trivial transportation of the history.
What does it mean by trivial ?
The oral tradition of the transportation of the information, the fact that one
no longer knows neither reads nor writes renders the history biggest than it is,
stronger. If this history passes by a medium that can be understood by all, then
the history weakens. This is no longer  the history but the news.
Although included in a historical context, Pynchon's characters are confronted
only with the vulgarity and the superficiality. They explain the history by
trivial references (films, pop-songs). The history of  Waste, The courrier
tragedy, is a Shakespearian tragedy parody (Shakespeare is  himself the Woody
Allen of its period ? ) This theater is a medium that constitutes himself as a
message. The theater of  Shakespeare is a trivial theater, rabelaisian, it is a
gigantic flash of laughter. The courrier tragedy is in this fully Shakespearian
senses, it is Pynchon and Shakespeare that would have decided to laugh. The
summary of the stage is a black humor summit.

The notion of notion.
If most of celebrities of Pynchon are manifestly intelligent peoples, one has
sometimes tendency to believe that they are not cultured because they make
reference to trivial values. 
But the references to trivial values is characterized by its complexity and its
diversity. These are  mainly references that have been transmitted by the
television, the pop -song, the cinema.
It'a  paradox because they are cultured in the sense that their references are
numerous and they are  not because their references do not seem  to correspond
to normative rules of the culture.
All fact that produced inside a suitable history think of... That will be able
to be such pop-song, such tv-show or such cartoon. because the apparent
unmediance of these trivial references, one would be tempted to think that these
celebrities are knocked of cultural amnesia and that they have been literally
stupefied by the radio or the television.
