where is everyone?

I'm interested to know what some of the programs look like (at the CA 
studies conf.)  Is this mostly a Literary venture?  

Naturally, I'd love to attend. But my "knowledge" of CA is no more 
extensive than what I get through the general culture zoom on the nature 
of Hollywood, etc.  Then there's PYnchon's refs to CA--throughout his 
career.  One of my favs is the 40 million frenchmen bit in GR.
