Good points. There is a wealth of reading influences that I assume as "background"
at least to P's work--from Robbe-Grillet to Sax Rohmer. We should probably add
classical music and jazz as well--always good accompaniments for summer activities
(but go heavy on Rossini, light on Webern!).
