sfu.archive.pynchon working

Well, it appears to be working now.  Messages to pynchon-l are
archived to the newsgroup sfu.archive.pynchon.  It still remains to be
seen how the newsgroup will handle mailed threads, but at least we
have a current archive.

My thanks to Penny, Andrew, Cal, Tim, the folks at Pomona, and anyone
else who has added to the net-availability of Pynchon-related
material.

Although they won't see this, I must thank our electonic wizards here,
esp. one Frances Atkinson for all the help and suggestions for making
all this fly so high. May this parabola never land.

On Cal McInvale, neither his email address (godot at rt66.com) or his
home page seem to be functioning for the last few days.  Anyone have
any other ways of contacting him or know what's up?
