Whoah! Since when does seeking to interpret an author's message or intent
equal messianic devotion or religious mania? Who took the proverbial whiz
in your Rice Krispies, Pablo?
No one on this list has, to my knowledge, made any assertions of Pynchon's
perfection, infallibility or God-likeness (aside from such references with
jocular intent, i.e. "Pynchon is God!"). I hate to resort to cliches, pal,
but look before you leap or put your money where your mouth is.

What is most appealing about young folks, after all, is the changes, not
the still photographs of finished character but the movie, the soul in
flux. -- Thomas Pynchon
