Tinasky

The Sunday, June 11 San Francisco Examiner & Chronicle contains a nearly
full-page article by Jim Doyle about the Pynchon-Tinasky rumors.  It's in the
"Sunday" section at page 4:  "Has Anyone Ever Seen Thomas Pynchon and Wanda
Tinasky in the Same Room?"  As evidence that the letters are by Pynchon, the
article notes that, in one letter, Wanda discussed technical details about
midair refueling of airplanes and mentioned that she once worked at Boeing.

By the way, I did a search of the largest databases available on Lexis and
found no mention of anybody named Tinasky or Tinaski in any periodical, any
case, any phone book, the social security death records, nor in the public
ownership records of any state.  Has anybody ever heard of a Tinasky other
than Wanda?
