No, near as I can remember there was no suing, and here's why:
the title of the t.v. series referred to was V, i.e. roman
numeral #5, as opposed to Pynchon's book, which is capital letter
V with a dot.  The t.v. series used this title in reference to
the word "victory" and Beethoven's Fifth symphony-- very blatant
references to the American experience during world war two,
invoked in V's mid-'80s allegory about Americans and them slimy
Co-- opps, I mean aliens.
