Analog/Digital/Information Transfer

Boris, I'm not sure the analog/digital approach will be as fruitful as
you might hope, especially in _Vineland_.  What for me is more
interesting in this novel are questions of perception and
cognitive theory.  The best article I've seen on this is
Joseph Slade's "Communication, Group Theory, and Perception in
_Vineland_," form the special issue on the novel in _Critique_ 32
(Winter 1990).
