Well, this discussion about Pynchon's blurbs has been most interesting.
 Those of you who are thinking of writing a thesis on Pynchon and The Blurb
will be interested to know of the handful of unpublished Pynchon letters at
Columbia from 1965 and 1966.  They are written to Richard Farina's editor,
Jim Silberman, and discuss Farina's writing with great passion, comparing him
to Balzac.  One of these letters also submits TP's blurb for Farina's Been
Down So Long It Looks Like Up To Me.  Check it out when you're in New York.
