What's this about a Pynchon conference in Dublin?

   John,


      I spoke to Trinity College and none of the likely sources there seemed
 to know anything about it.   University College Dublin--- same situation. 
However, it's term break there and anything is possible. My sneaking feeling is,
 however, yes, it will happen. After the Warwick conference success, I'm
beginning 
to suspect Virgin Airways may have a hand in this.  Richard Branson loves
Pynchon
 almost as much as bugs bunny cartoons and big  rockets. Anyway, better pubs
 in Dublin than in Coventry;  as smooth Irish Stout replaces dank  Midlands
Bitter.
