Colors

When I finished GR the first time I thought about the R and wondered 
about colors. On the second reading I started paying attention to the 
colors but for some reason abandoned it. Does anyone out there know of 
any interesting (colorful!) relationships regarding them?

Also it seemed to me that GR doesn't contain the common English word, 
"said". Is this true? (I looked for a while but didn't do a thorough search.)

And lastly, for now, I seem to recall an allusion to Arthur Lovejoy's 
"Great Chain of Being" in GR but I don't have any notes on it. (I just 
recalled this when I saw another reference to Chain recently.)
