anyone.  Jest a liddle jest, 'twas...
I read recently of a thesis/article done on the reaction of 
immigrants to turn-of-the-century-plus America to bananas.  It
seemed that the miraculous golden banana was the one common
denominator in most first impressions of US.  The exotic fruit
came to be seen as indicative of all the potential of the new 
country.  Could it be this Ur-banana which Pynchon is playing with?
If, as Basil says, kenosis means crapping in (presumably) modern
Greek, it still ties in with the shit motif in GR.  But 
I bet the Kenosis Kid is Jesus.
