Just a quick reply to "Paul from Chicago" who generously promises to
"type it (Siegal's article) in and post it here within the next few
days."
We've had this discussion before, but it's worth pointing out again,
that posting copyrighted materials to an e-list such as this is,
potentially, an actionable offense. I strongly recommend against it.
In my sunny city two weeks ago U.S. Marshalls arrested a 24 year old
young man for running an Internet bulletin board on which people were
posting software. One such posting was copyrighted; it happened to be
"Windows 95." Microsoft got wind of it. The hammer fell. No more
e-list from the young man's father's happy home, which is now an
asset in jeopardy during these proceedings.
Now, Jules Siegal aint Billy Gates and Microsoft but he did do a job
of work which is protected. So why run the risk? I do (usually)
enjoy and learn from my evesdroppings on this List and I'd hate to
see it screwed up by somebody with way more time on his hands than I
can imagine having, to manually (whew!) enter that article.
Hi-de-ho! SW
