Chaos, Fractals & GR

        For those interested in pursuing the idea of cultural matrix, re:
did Pynchon know of chaos theory whilst writing GR and/or did he have to?,
as well as those just interested in a good read I recommend a book called
"Art+Physics" by Leonard Shain. Basically Shain's theory is that Artists
throughout history have portrayed scientific concepts in their art *before*
these concepts were introduced to the world at large. This is an excellent
book sure to stimulate one's complex world-view.
