in America" is the title of the coming Can Assoc for Am Studies
conference at Renaissance Vancouver Hotel, Oct 19-22, hosted not
by our list host, English, Simon Fraser (welcome, Jody et al!)
but by English, UBC. And while there will be only one "proper"
paper on TRP, mine ("History and Trash Consciousness in _GR_",
which is not as satisfying as it could have been, I've had all
kinds of hassle lately), you must have realized already how 
overwhelmingly Pynchonian the conference is in atmosphere. It
would be great to meet Pynchonites from British Columbia and
the U.S. Northwest, and everywhere.

I have the program, or should I say programme (one of the most
engrossing program(mes) I've ever seen) in electronic form, and
I can send it to all interested.
