GR and articles about...

Hiya.
I'm doing grad. studies in English at the University of DE, and I was 
wondering if anyone had any info about articles that are available about 
GR and TRP's use of popular movies, songs, comic book characters (yes, 
esp. Porky Pig), and radio melodramas from the 1930s and 40s. I'm running 
into lots of problems (not enough TRP books and the ones we have are in 
bad shape with missing pages etc) and would appreciate any and all help.
