A sandwich for finishing the book

I guess age has its consolations... I read TRP's stuff in the order it 
came out, enjoying each one immensely.  I still go through them all, 
annually, finding stuff that the past year has brought me the wisdom to 
recognize.  Or, perhaps, each year adds some experiential mass that 
alters the resonance, the high-partials that ring in my brain.

There are only a handful of books that I've not finished, but it's 
usually stuff that I've grabbed at an airport bookcounter, or for some 
other reason of desperation.  I'll be a hundred pages into it and say, 
"what am I reading _this_ shit for?," then dump it.  "Challenging books" 
haven't been a problem, more like a red cape....
