baseball redux

I picked up this odd factoid years ago, and have subsequently
lost all attribution:  most baseballs are fabricated in Haiti.
Voodoo baseball, anyone?
Also, the mention of wrestling jogged my incredibly dumb brain
into remembering a fact I should have mentioned long ago:
Stephen Dobyns's novel THE WRESTLER'S CRUEL STUDY is a hilarious,
expertly done, highly Pynchonesque book everyone should rush out
and buy!
