I've tried to read GR aloud---I read Tom Jones aloud over a period of time,
and wanted to continue reading aloud, and tried GR. But I discovered that
(for me) it was impossible to do this---it is as if what TRP has written is
already "read aloud". For me, the only way to "produce" the work is via
silent reading, which generates an internal soundtrack. I think this
relates to previous discussions of TRP and jazz. TRP's diction is in itself
a rap dialect, hence via some bizarre aesthetic inversion can't be read
aloud in the usual sense. A-as I'm writing this, though, I'm imagining say
Lenny Bruce doing it---which definitely puts it out of my league, and out of
Recorded Books' league too, I bet!
