Something about the above strikes me as kind of eerie - can't quite place 
my finger on it. Maybe it's that Oedipa did quite a bit of wandering 
around in the dark. At any rate, I'm usually appalled by the casting for 
audio or visual adaptations of lit, even just readings.. 

ps: there's apparently a new set of Pink Panther cartoons on the tube in 
which our cool cat talks - what gives?
