Just when you thought you'd seen the last of them goddam WORLD WAR II
50th ANNIVERSARY headlines...you all know the story:  Webern, visiting
his brother, who was involved in those "organic markets, carefully
styled 'black' by the professionals," stepped onto the patio to light
a cigar, and was promptly wasted by a jittery potato-peeler from North
Carolina with a single shot from a .45.

"The young barbarians coming in to murder the Last European, standing
 at the far end of what'd been going on since Bach, an expansion of
 music's polymorphous perversity till all notes were truly equal at
 last..."
