Unabomber and Luddites

Just a P.S. to Don Larsson's note about Kirkpatrick Sale's comments on NPR
about the Unabomber.  The next to last issue of the _Nation_ has Sale's
analysis of the Unabomber manifesto, which was delivered to him in advance
by a couple of FBI agents.  Everything Don mentions is also present in
Sale's article, but in addition, Sale makes clear that he's analyzing the
manifesto before its release in order to point out those aspects of its
luddite ideas that are worthy of rational attention (while abhorring the
random violence that in this case is bringing those ideas to public
notice).  A fascinating article.
