It just occurred to me that although it may be impossible to film GR, it 
would probably make a great book: "The Making of Gravity's Rainbow: the 
Movie." A whole chapter would have to be devoted, of course, to how they 
built the toilet ship and accidently sank it before they finished 
filming. Along with insights into the make-up magic in the castration 
clip (ouch, bad pun). And how they built the sets for the toilet 
excursion. Plus some rumour-mongering about how TRP may have actually 
made a cameo appearance but no one knows for sure.
