Terence and Dennis McKenna in the Invisible Landscape describe the molecular
changes that accompany mushroom hallucinations which includes description of
the structure of the indole and its chemical linkage properties. Mckenna does
an interesting job of explaining how the chemical works within the brain to
create resonance or space and develops a "holographic"theory of mind.
The next link is to synthetic carbon based compounds-coal-tar derivatives
,LSD, plastics (imoplex G.) and shit.
This Structure stuff is the root of the dialog about drugs. How does
conciousness work - how do we know what we know and what is the structure or
pattern of movement from natural to synthetic (both without and with in the
brain.)
