One of the things I have always liked about this book is the title.
It conjours up a spectrum of people, objects,music, bits of movies twisting
in the sky, occasionally illuminated in a coherent order, other times, an
unresolved parobola whose ends stretch towards earth, though never reaching
it.
Gravity, like air, is wonderful in that you would never know it exists unless
you were told it exists. Invisable, ever present, great omnicent god of
force between, for there would be no gravity if there were no other object.
The Koan of quantum.... gravity can only be detected by it's inter-action.
I see Pollock's "Greyed Rainbow", I see the anti image of my paperback copy
of "TCoL49", I see the silent desent of A4's on a english block of flats,
sunday afternoon, 4pm, september rain spits fitfully, tea consumed, the naked
momment revealed, the cup raised, the liquid sloshes, the sound arrives
seconds after hearing ceases....
und so wieter
