     I've seen it, and read it.  Didn't ring any Pynchon bells for me.  
     Also not her best effort, IMHO.  It starts out promising, but it gets 
     a little too contrived towards the end.  I found myself paying more 
     attention to her stylistic foibles rather than the text, because they 
     annoyed me more and more as the book wore on.

Hey, has anyone gotten a chance to take a look at Annie Proulx's new 
book, The Accordion Crimes?  The descriptions I've heard of it sound 
kinda V-esque: following inanimate objects across countries and 
centuries...
